Pay Range: $17.00 to $22.50 hourly

Primary Responsibilities: Under the general direction of the Hawaii Product Department Supervisor, this position supports the planning, contracting, promotion, operation, and administration of Hawaii Product offerings.

This role assists with product setup, reservations coordination, vendor communication, contract administration, sales support, digital content updates, and data management to ensure the successful operation and promotion of Hawaii Products.

Essential Functions

1. Product Administration & Reservation Support

・Support product setup and maintenance within reservation and internal systems.

・Process and coordinate reservations, inventory allocations, and related operational tasks.

・Maintain accurate product, tariff, and booking information.

・Assist sales offices and internal departments with product-related inquiries.

2. Vendor Contract & Product Support

・Assist in coordinating contracts and agreements with vendors and business partners.

・Support the review and maintenance of rates, commissions, and contract information.

・Maintain vendor records and contract documentation.

・Assist with the implementation of new products and services.

3. Product Operations & Quality Support

・Support sales offices (Japan and other markets) with product information, promotions, and issue resolution. Support quality control activities and product inspections.

・Assist in monitoring customer feedback and operational issues.

・Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve routine issues.

・Support FAM tours and product verification activities.

4. Sales Promotion & Digital Content Support

・Assist in updating website and social media content related to Hawaii Products.

・Support the creation and maintenance of promotional materials.

・Coordinate content updates, product descriptions, and sales information.

・Assist with digital marketing activities that support product sales.

5. Sales Support & Cross-Department Coordination

・Support communication between Hawaii Product, Sales, Operations, and other departments.

・Assist with special requests, group products, and promotional campaigns.

・Help ensure smooth implementation of new programs and initiatives.

6. Data Management & Reporting Support

・Maintain product, contract, and sales information in company systems.

・Assist in preparing reports related to sales performance and product operations.

・Compile and organize data for marketing and business analysis.

・Ensure information accuracy across systems and channels.

Secondary Functions:

  1. Support company-wide events and initiatives by assisting with promotional materials, product-related information, and operational tasks as needed.
  2. Assist with cross-functional projects and departmental initiatives as assigned.
  3. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge of Hawaii Products, tourism trends, digital tools, and JTB-related business.
  4. Provide support to management and other departments during peak periods or as business needs require.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

a. Associate degree, college degree, or equivalent work experience preferred.

b. 0-2 years of experience in customer service, travel industry, administrative support, marketing support, or related fields preferred.

c. Ability to communicate effectively in English and Japanese, both verbally and in writing.

d. Ability to work cooperatively with team members, business partners, and customers.

e. Basic interpersonal communication skills.

f. Interest in tourism, travel products, and customer service.

g. Basic understanding of Hawaii’s tourism industry and visitor experiences preferred.

h. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems.

i. Familiarity with digital tools, content management systems, social media platforms, or design software is a plus.

j. Ability to follow instructions, manage assigned tasks, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.

k. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing business needs.

l. Valid Hawaii driver’s license preferred.

Working Conditions:

Working Hours

  1. 40 hours per week. Regular working hours are generally scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.; however, work schedules may vary depending on operational needs, reservations, tour arrangements, events, and business requirements.
  2. This position may be required to work after hours, weekends, and holidays as deemed necessary, particularly during peak seasons, large group movements, events, or when time-sensitive arrangements are required.
  3. Overtime may be required seasonally, periodically, and as business needs require.
  4. Occasional travel to various locations outside of the office may be required, including travel to neighbor islands, the continental U.S., and/or abroad, where weather conditions may vary.

Physical and Mental Demands (focus on ADA language – highlighted parts)

  1. Must be able to frequently communicate with customers/ co-workers/vendors over the phone, computer, or in person in Japanese and English.
  2. Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery,

such as a copier, printer, multi-line telephone system, cellular phone, facsimile machine,

other standard office equipment, email, vehicle.

  1. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time.
  2. Must be able to observe documents from computer screens.
  3. Must be able to operate heavy camera equipment during photo shooting.
  4. Occasionally lift and/or relocate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with aid of coworkers and handcarts.
  5. Subject to atmospheric conditions including: an air conditioned office, exhaust fumes, and dust.
