Job Purpose

The Area Supervisor responsibilities include keeping track of day-to-day operstions of the department. You will be responsible for all activities and other work carried out in the assigned area. You are expected to be knowledgeable about the working and procedures of that area to supervise effectively.

The Area Supervisor is responsible for the overall performance of the area. You will assist the Supervisors to coordinate the training and development of the workforce.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Select new candidates by conducting interviews whenever necessary
  • Assisting Supervisors with employee attendance records and leave reports
  • Assist Supervisors with appraisals and performance evaluation process
  • Locker assignment and/or uniform distribution
  • Develop and ensure a work environment that is safe and achievement/goal oriented
  • Monitor all operations and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Find appropriate solutions to the identified opportunities
  • Process customer returns and inventory inquiries
  • Initiate continuous improvements of technology and procedures for operating excellence
  • Develop and write clear work instructions and procedures
  • Provide proper customer service by responding to questions and complaints in a timely manner
  • Enforce disciplinary and behavioral standards for the employees and efficient operation of the department
  • Ensure employees are following safe work practices and company standards
  • Communicate with the staff and employees to understand the problems and identify solutions
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • 5 to 7 years operations experience as a Supervisor
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required
  • Understanding of asset management principles
  • Knowledge about proper equipment functions
  • Thorough knowledge of department procedures and processes
  • Corrective action and cause mapping for Safety response
  • Ability to groom others for advancement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detailed knowledge of the operation

Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)

  • The salary range for this position is $73,050 – $91,312. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
