Equipment Room is looking for a Barback/Runner who will assist food service employees in delivering food to tables, maintain cleanliness and attend to needs behind the bar, clean tables, carry dirty dishes, replace soiled table linens; setting tables; replenish supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes; and serve water, appetizers and coffee to patrons.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Six (6) months related experience in hospitality or service industry
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals

Job Requirements:
- Adhere to dress code policies during shift
- Perform serving, cleaning, and stocking duties in order to facilitate customer service
- Ensure immediate response is given to any and all guest comments and concerns and inform immediate supervisor of concerns and assist implementing corrective measure when necessary
- Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays
- Ensure sure that beverage and ice dispensers, cabinets, serving areas are stocked
- Replenish supplies of food and equipment at service bars/satellite service stations
- Stock refrigerating units with wines and bottled beer, and replace empty beer keg
- Set tables with clean linens, condiments, and other supplies
- Scrape and stack dirty dishes, and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning
- Clean tables, counters, shelves, walls, furniture, and equipment in food service areas and other areas of restaurants, and mop and vacuum floors Wash glasses and other serving equipment at bars
- Clean up spilled food, drink and broken dishes, and remove empty bottles and trash
- Serve ice water, coffee, and standard appetizers (i.e. bread/butter or chips/salsa) to patrons
- Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and upper management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc., to ensure all needs of the hotel are met
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition
- Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property
- Keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements Attend relevant meetings
- Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos and verbal instruction
- Based upon fluctuating demands of the operation and to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to this position.
This person may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Furthermore, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and revision.
Working Conditions/Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, typical of a hotel/restaurant/office setting The person in this position may have to lift/carry up to fifty (50) pounds on a daily basis; anything over fifty (50) pounds is considered a minimum two (2) person lift The person having this position may have to remain stationary for one (1) hour, move about/traverse property spaces, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for up to eight (8) hours per day
