HOSPITALITY STARTS HERE…
Welcome to the heart of hospitality! At The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG), we’re on a mission to redefine the hospitality industry, and it all begins with our exceptional team. Founded in 2009 by Steve Palmer, our philosophy is simple: by taking care of our team, we ensure they naturally provide exceptional care to our cherished guests.
THE ROLE…
A successful CHEF DE CUISINE (CDC) will have 4+ years’ experience managing the line for high-volume restaurants in an upscale and food focused environment. You will also have experience working with Asian flavors. You will be passionate about food and engaging the local community. Procure the highest quality product to create unforgettable dishes that surprise and delight our guests at every bite.
As the Chef de Cuisine you’ll encourage staff development and promote a positive experience for staff and guests to achieve P&L goals. With the Executive Chef, you’ll look after all aspects of the kitchen including problem resolution and effective communication to get the job done. As an ambassador for Indigo Road, you’ll authentically embrace Internal Hospitality and strive to create memorable experiences for people through food.
Shokudo
Tucked into the rhythm of the neighborhood, Shokudo is a modern Japanese izakaya built around warmth, welcome, and the quiet artistry of the kitchen. At the heart of it all is Chef Masatomo “Masa” Hamaya, whose menu brings together comforting dishes like hand rolls, yakitori, and ramen-each one grounded in tradition and guided by technique.
The space itself draws inspiration from Japanese farmhouses and wabi-sabi design, where natural textures and thoughtful details create a calm, unhurried setting. Just behind the dining room, a lively beer garden invites a different kind of experience-casual, spirited, and full of energy.
Whether you’re sharing skewers at the robata grill or catching up over a cold pint under the stars, Shokudo is a place to return to-again and again.
