We’re seeking a Corporate Legal Administrator to join our Compliance team in Aurora, Colorado! Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews and manages customer contracts, vendor agreements, rental agreements, NDAs, and other legal documents.
- Analyzes and provides recommendations on customer terms and conditions, code of conduct policies, and quality surveys.
- Provides guidance on new customer setup.
- Evaluates and tracks Representations & Certifications, letters of indemnity, and conformance letters.
- Manages SAM.gov and Exostar sites.
- Maintains and tracks corporate filings, regulatory filings, intellectual property portfolios ensuring timely submissions.
- Manages and oversees the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report, including but not limited to our Green House Gas reporting.
- Assists in compliance with JSOX (Japanese Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements.
- Conducts research and provides guidance on compliance areas, including but not limited to payroll (state and federal), human resources, workplace safety, Environmental Protection Agency, and export/import regulations.
- Provides legal support on internal policies and ensure alignment with corporate compliance requirements.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with evolving regulations and industry standards.
- Monitors changes in legal and regulatory requirements, advising management on potential impacts to the business.
- Leads and/or supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of legal and compliance policies, processes, and workflows.
- Drafts and reviews legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
- Acts as the primary liaison between the company and external legal counsel for contract negotiations, compliance issues, and regulatory matters.
- Gathers necessary documentation and background information before engaging outside counsel for contract disputes, compliance inquiries, or other legal matters.
- Monitors and manages legal costs associated with outside counsel, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Works with internal teams to interpret and apply recommendations from external counsel regarding contracts, compliance, or corporate governance.
- Collaborates with external attorneys on changing laws, industry regulations, and corporate policies to keep the company compliant.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Paralegal certification is required.
- Minimum 3 years in a legal, compliance, or corporate governance role, preferably within a manufacturing or regulated industry.
- Strong contract review and negotiation skills for customer agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and rental agreements.
- Experience managing corporate filings and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with ESG reporting and corporate governance frameworks.
- Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), or other internal control compliance standards.
- Experience researching legal and regulatory requirements in areas such as payroll, HR policies, workplace safety, and trade compliance.
- Ability to interpret and apply legal and compliance regulations in business operations.
- Travel may be required.
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) certification preferred.
Salary Description
$66,000-75,000
