As a Diagnostics Operations Tooling and Dashboard Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in building data-driven tools and dashboards that help the operations and engineering teams identify, diagnose, and resolve complex system issues. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to automate workflows, enhance reporting processes, and improve diagnostic efficiency across the organization.Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain dashboards using SQL and Python to communicate key operational metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze complex datasets (logs, video files, sensor data) to detect and troubleshoot issues in data ingest and ETL workflows.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python to streamline and enhance operational processes.
  • Collaborate with triage, engineering, and leadership teams to define tooling requirements and improve dashboard performance.
  • Generate detailed, expert-level bug reports and track issues using internal AI-driven diagnostic tools.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying and implementing data and tooling optimizations.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Proven proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and workflow automation.
  • Experience working with Linux command line, Git, and terminal scripting.
  • Demonstrated ability to automate manual processes and build efficient, data-driven solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Highly organized, customer-focused, and detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, BigQuery, Mode, or Streamlit.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and AI agent integrations.
  • Background in autonomous or robotic systems.
  • Fluency in Japanese is a plus.

Employment Information

  • Type: Full-time (30+ hours/week)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST (with flexibility)
  • Compensation: $53.00 – $62.00 per hour
  • Contract Length: 6 months (through November 16, 2025)
  • Work Environment: Remote (local to Bay Area preferred)

Note: This position is approved as fully remote. However, candidates local to the Bay Area may occasionally be asked to visit the office if business needs evolve. Exceptional candidates outside the region may be considered on a case-by-case basis.Why You’ll Love This Opportunity
