Job Description

The Digital Merchandising Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end digital merchandising program on behalf of Crossmark in support of the Store Credit business. This role leads the strategy, coordination, and execution of digital merchandising initiatives across online retail environments, ensuring compliance with Apple standards for Apple Gift Card and App Store Card placements globally. The Digital Merchandising Manager serves as the primary liaison to the marketing team, translating insights and audit findings into actionable recommendations that drive campaign effectiveness and improve the digital customer journey.

This role manages a direct report and provides leadership, direction, and mentorship to ensure program goals are met. The manager owns program processes and procedures, escalates policy and compliance decisions as appropriate, and partners cross-functionally with global, regional, and country stakeholders to maintain a best-in-class digital merchandising presence.

Responsibilities

Program Management & Leadership

  • Oversee and manage the overall digital merchandising program, setting priorities and direction for the team.
  • Manage and mentor a direct report, providing coaching, workload management, and performance guidance.
  • Own and continuously improve processes and procedures to deliver consistent, high-quality digital merchandising compliance outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for decisions related to policy changes, compliance issues, images, and product updates.
  • Coordinate systems and data globally in support of digital initiatives, partnering with global, regional, and country managers.
  • Lead ad-hoc merchandising and marketing projects as needed, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.

Marketing Collaboration & Reporting

  • Partner closely with the marketing team to align digital merchandising initiatives with campaign strategy, seasonal opportunities, and brand guidelines.
  • Support digital seasonal campaign tracking and operations, ensuring proper execution and measurement of marketing activations.
  • Translate audit findings and data insights into clear recommendations for the marketing team and Store Credit stakeholders.
  • Report findings utilizing established tools and develop executive-level summaries of program performance and trends.
  • Updating guidelines for digital partners and properties in coordination with marketing leadership.
  • Perform or oversee necessary updates for digital properties with new assets following regular refreshes or seasonal opportunities.

Auditing & Analysis

  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of product standards and compliance requirements across all retailer partners.
  • Oversee and perform product-centric online audits, keeping the customer experience in focus throughout.
  • Gather data from SEM partners and oversee keyword analysis to identify and implement performance improvements.
  • Identify areas for improvement across digital properties and present data-driven recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Skills & Competencies

  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage and lead a team while working across multiple priorities.
  • Deep understanding of online digital product merchandising and what drives a successful online shopping experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Numbers, Excel, and Keynote; comfortable analyzing and presenting complex data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate clearly with the Store Credit team, marketing stakeholders, and global partners.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities; experience managing direct reports.
  • Knowledge of German, Russian, French, Japanese, or other languages a plus.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in digital merchandising, e-commerce operations, or a related digital marketing/retail field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a managerial or lead role, including direct management of at least one direct report.
  • Proven track record of building and managing digital merchandising programs at scale, ideally in a multi-retailer or global environment.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with and supporting marketing teams on campaign execution, digital asset deployment, and seasonal strategies.
  • Strong background in data analysis, keyword performance monitoring, and generating actionable insights from audit tools and SEM data.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural, global environment; familiarity with cross-regional coordination preferred.
  • Systems monitoring and deployment experience preferred.
  • Experience with web-based compliance or audit reporting tools preferred.
