Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive regional strategy focused on expanding market presence and delivering cutting-edge solutions to key stakeholders, including governments, defense agencies, and commercial partners.
- Lead business development initiatives within the INDOPACOM region, driving the growth of strategic partnerships, defense contracts, and new opportunities in alignment with the company’s global mission.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior military officials, government agencies, and industry leaders across the Indo-Pacific region, fostering collaboration and trust.
- Identify, pursue, and win high-value defense and aerospace contracts, navigating complex procurement processes and securing opportunities for long-term growth.
- Act as the company’s primary point of contact and representative in the INDOPACOM region, attending trade shows, defense forums, and other key industry events to promote the company’s capabilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and program management, to ensure successful delivery of solutions tailored to regional client needs.
- Provide actionable market intelligence by monitoring geopolitical trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory developments in the INDOPACOM region.
- Drive regional pipeline management, sales forecasting, and reporting, ensuring alignment with corporate revenue and growth targets.
- Ensure compliance with international defense regulations, including ITAR, export controls, and other country-specific laws governing defense trade and technology.
- Guide the development and localization of products and services to meet the unique operational requirements of customers in the Indo-Pacific region.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or program management, with a proven track record of success in the defense, aerospace, or high-tech industries.
- Deep knowledge of the INDOPACOM region, including key defense markets, government structures, and regional security challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to win and execute complex defense or aerospace contracts in highly regulated and competitive markets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across cultures and industries.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the INDOPACOM region.
- Established network within defense ministries, militaries, and major defense contractors in the Indo-Pacific region.
- Familiarity with regional security dynamics, such as maritime security, territorial disputes, and allied defense collaborations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with U.S. and allied defense systems, programs, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FMS, ITAR, DSCA processes).
- Fluency in one or more regional languages (e.g., Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, or other Indo-Pacific languages) in addition to English.
- Strong understanding of advanced defense technologies, including autonomous systems, AI/ML, unmanned platforms, and cybersecurity.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategies for entering emerging markets and addressing unique operational challenges.
This role requires a visionary leader with deep regional expertise and a strategic mindset, capable of advancing the company’s presence and partnerships within the critical INDOPACOM region.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in most offers and are considered part of Mach’s total compensation package.
