Job Description

Business

  • The market-based systems currently used by SMBC’s European and American bases are applications developed in-house in Tokyo and installed in data centers in the Americas and Japan for maintenance, operation and management.
  • The role of our group is to liaise with the development department in Tokyo to communicate the requirements of the European and American bases such as systems and security, and to promote projects related to market systems in Europe and America.
  • This time, we are looking for IT PM/support personnel in this role.
  1. Promotion of market-based infrastructure projects
  • Development and review of project requirements definition
  • Design Document Review
  • Conduct of tests and review of test results
  • UAT Support, Migration/Implementation Plan Review
  • Budgeting, Item Registration, Approval Support

Market system infrastructure support

  • User inquiry, system failure acceptance and primary isolation
  • Escalation to user and development departments
  • response to user inquiries
  • Creating Fault Reports
  • Disaster Response Test Implementation Support
  • Coordination with staff in charge of infrastructure and operation departments in Europe and the United States
  • system no-impact test
  • Test environment management and test schedule adjustment
  • Support for production release work, scheduling

*Weekend and nighttime support activities include:

  • Response to system failures on weekends and nights on a rotating basis
  • Weekend production release and disaster testing
  • Attend meetings in the morning hours in Japan several times a week

Technical skills required to carry out business

Required

  • Experience with Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Excel, Teams, and project management tools such as JIRA
  • Understanding System-to-System (SFTP, HTTP, ODBC, MQ, etc.) Concepts
  • A broad and shallow knowledge of the IT domain required to translate Project Business Requirements into Functional/Technical Requirements (Virtual servers/containers such as Citrix App, Oracle Database, Linux/Windows servers, VMWare, SAN, NAS, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, AD, cluster servers, job schedulers such as JP1,)
  • Ability to quickly learn and use IT tools
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux/Windows servers

Optional

  • UNIX/Linux/Windows server management experience plus
  • Knowledge and experience of scripting languages (UNIX/Linux Shell, Windows Powershell) is a plus
  • Experience in log analysis for troubleshooting purposes is a plus
  • Experience analyzing data for SQL syntax understanding and troubleshooting purposes is a plus

Other Required Ability

Required

  • Business level English and Japanese skills
  • proactive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to respond flexibly under the Customer First concept
  • Experience as an infrastructure representative on large IT projects

Optional

  • If you have knowledge of banking business such as foreign exchange and receivables transactions, it is a plus.
  • Experience managing large IT projects in the financial industry
  • IT customer support experience
  • Experience in financial industry regulation and security standards in Europe and the United States
  • Experience dealing with software vendors

Must Have Skills

  • Japanese Bi-Lingual
  • IT Infrastructure Knowledge
  • IT Infra PM Experiences
  • Japanese Bi-Lingual PM who has capabilities and experiences of PMP or PMP equivalent.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, and management experiences of Servers, Desktop, Network in corporate organization would be required.
