SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Chief Steward, the Receiver’s main functions are to manage all receiving items in the kitchen and ensures that shipments are inspected, sorted, and stored or well stacked on the shelves as needed. The Receiver oversees the invoices to make sure orders are correct and delivered in a timely manner. It is the Receiver’s responsibility to replenish items that are low on inventory.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure par levels for food, beverage and disposable items based on established par levels and communicate with managers accordingly for ordering purposes.
  2. Assist with daily and weekly inventories and report issues to buyers.
  3. Comply with sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of receiving and storage areas.
  4. Ensure and maintain restaurant compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  5. Perform daily facility walk throughs of storage & receiving areas.
  6. Comply with restaurant policies and procedures.
  7. Receives all supplies, verifies invoices and ensures quality as per RDG guidelines.
  8. Contact suppliers with order issues and communicate them to MOD.
  9. Store supplies in assigned areas, perform proper rotation and report items reaching expiration dates.
  10. Prepare daily receiving reports (LTS) and transmit invoices to the corporate office.
  11. Process invoices in PMS
  12. Perform other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATION:

  • At least 1 year experience working in storerooms or warehouse environment.
  • At least 1 year experience of handling food products

OTHER SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Entry level knowledge or Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word and Excel)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS &WORK ENVIROMENT:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift items between 40-50lbs.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace and refrigerated environment.
