General Summary of Duties:

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of 888 bar and restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences that reflect brand standards This role supports the leadership team in managing service quality, staff performance, and operational efficiency while maintaining a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):

  • Oversee the F&B Beverage Operation as it relates to the 888 performance standards, while maximizing the revenue and profit.
  • Oversee employees and operations ensuring organization, cleanliness, proper maintenance and supplies
  • Select products that will meet the quality standards and financial expectations of the hotel
  • Resolve guest concerns and implement resolutions
  • Observe and appraise team member performance, provide feedback, and facilitate improvements in accordance with established standards of product and performance
  • Schedule labor force and assign work for efficient use of equipment and personnel
  • Ensure compliance by all 888 Beverage personnel with Company and departmental rules, policies, and procedures
  • Hire, communicate, coach, and build relationships with employees
  • Plan, manage, and monitor work of employees
  • Supervise and guide servers, bartenders, greeters, support staff, etc., fostering a positive and professional work environment.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate daily specials, service priorities, and guest notes.
  • Assist in training team members on service standards, menu knowledge, upselling techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Lead by example in delivering personalized, anticipatory, and attentive service aligned with 888 brand standards.
  • Greet and engage guests, handling special requests and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor to monitor service flow, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in daily bar and restaurant opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Oversee stock control for beverages, bar supplies, and tableware; coordinate with suppliers as needed.
  • Support scheduling as needed to ensure appropriate coverage during peak and off-peak periods.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
  • Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in a high quality, high volume and multi-unit operations
  • A strong appreciation for unique dining experiences and an eye for detail in decor and ambiance
  • Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer applications.
  • A deep understanding of music diversity, collections and collaboration
  • Strong knowledge of bar operations, mixology, wine service, and restaurant floor service.
  • Strong customer service experience, interpersonal, and communication skills are required
  • Proven experience in managing a premium restaurant or bar with an innovative and thematic focus
  • Strong analytical, decision-making and problem- solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and responsive to change
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to weekends, evenings, overnight, and holidays.
  • Completely understand all programs, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs
  • Preopening or development experience preferred

Education:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management preferred
