Job Description

Our Houseperson supports the housekeeping operation by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of guest areas, public spaces, and back of house areas throughout the property. Assists with deep cleaning, room preparation, and special projects to ensure all spaces are safe and meets luxury expectations and HGV cleanliness brand standards. Schedule Details:

The Housekeeping Department operates seven days a week. You will be assigned to an eight-hour shift, which includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Performs cleaning and support tasks across guest corridors, stairwells, public areas, and back of house spaces to meet luxury expectations and Hilton Grand Vacations brand standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for hotel guests, patrons, and team members.
  • Assists with room turnover processes by stripping linens, removing trash, and supporting housekeeping team members to ensure efficient room readiness.
  • Transports clean and soiled linen, restocks supply closets, and supports inventory management to ensure team members have the necessary materials to perform their duties effectively.
  • Delivers guest items and fulfills service requests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring all items are clean, functional, and properly presented prior to delivery.
  • Maintains readiness of supportive equipment such as cribs, highchairs, and other guest items, ensuring they are clean, safe, and in proper working condition.
  • Supports deep cleaning initiatives, special projects, and large-scale room or public area preparations, including furniture movement, detailed cleaning, and preparation of spaces to meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Assists with heavy cleaning tasks, furniture movement, and special assignments to support overall housekeeping operations and quality HGV brand standards.
  • Greets guests with heartfelt hospitality and provide basic assistance, maintaining awareness of resort services, amenities, and directions as needed.
  • Reports deficiencies, safety hazards, or missing items promptly to support property safety and quality HGV brand standards.
  • Maintains organized storage areas, equipment, and supplies. Ensure supplies and equipment are in working condition. Ensuring proper use, cleanliness, and security of department assets.
  • Follows all safety procedures, key control protocols, and lost and found procedures.
  • Embodies Inspired Hospitality and the Hilton Grand Vacations Values of Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership, Now.
  • Completes all required Company training/compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

To fulfill this role efficiently, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of Related Experience
  • Basic English communication skills to understand instructions and interact with guests and team members, including reading and writing.
  • Ability to support housekeeping operations through organization, efficiency, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow procedures, manage time effectively, and complete tasks within assigned timeframes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact courteously with guests and respond appropriately to requests.
  • Ability to maintain professional grooming and appearance standards consistent with a luxury hospitality environment.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals in accordance with company standards.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift/carry, push/pull items more than 50 lbs.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ Years Related Experience
  • Prior housekeeping experience in hospitality, resort, or related environments.
  • Experience working in a luxury, boutique, or high-end property, with an understanding of elevated cleanliness and presentation expectations.
  • Experience working in timeshare or resort operations
  • Bilingual Japanese communication skills.
