SUMMARY:
Responsible for the Technical support of all quality assurance and quality control activities onsite during installation and sustaining activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform onsite analysis and assessments utilizing Lean tools and principles. Monitor procedures and ensures verification of processes. Serve as the primary QA/QC contact and coordinates all QA/QC activities in support of job site(s).
QA/QC
- Support implementation of cost, quality, and installation improvement initiatives.
- Conduct Site Quality Audits.
- Maintain Audits and Quality Events in Insight Database.
- Perform duties associated with corrective actions, auditing, and metric reporting by utilizing lean principles and root cause analysis tools.
- Support Company’s commitment to a culture of safe work practices and safety excellence.
Training
- Support training to help installation teams deliver a high-quality installation.
- Assist site managers and installation leadership in developing expectations for contractors.
- Coordinate and verify appropriate methods and clarification of work instructions.
Business Process
- Analyze and address gaps in processes that lead to quality issues.
- Utilize Lean methodologies and root cause analysis tools to support investigations and process improvements.
- Work with cross functional teams such as quality, install, service, and customers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-Year College or technical school; Minimum 2 years in monitoring and supporting QA/QC programs. Experience with continuous improvement methods, concepts and training in lean skills is preferred. Familiarity with constructions contractors is a plus or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Excellent oral and written communication in English. Bilingual Japanese language is a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
OTHER SKILLS
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Critical thinking and data-driven problem-solving skills.
- Ability to articulate problems to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to read and understand prints, schematics, and diagrams.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
TRAVEL:
Willing and able to travel up to 25% mainly domestic. International travel may be required. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required.
